I am trying to find the right words to describe Elena or her work, but i figured out that there are no words to describe her. Cause if i say that she is kind, beautiful, hard working and amazingly talented, it definitely won't be enough..
I met Elena for the first time -about a year ago- in this fashion show and she immediately charmed me with her style, simplicity and kindness. But those are certainly not the only reasons why someone could admire her.. Having worked in sales for YSL and Emanuel Ungaro, she decided to switch her career and turned her creativity objectives to the design and the production of her own brand. After spending six years by the side of Matthew Williamson in London, she came to Athens to start her own dream. Until now - that London is knocking her door again and changes her plans, while she -very soon- is leaving us for a new life there. So, before packing, she invited me to her showroom at downtown Acropolis area, to see her current collection and 'taste' some of her upcoming pieces..
The high quality of her creations is a trademark for her brandname. Needless to talk about the inspired flower prints or the carefully-made soft pleats. Just see for yourself..

magic mint brings the spring

how do i understand that the warmer season is coming? Colors. Colors make the season.
This aquamarine - pale blue - magic mint with a tone of pearl and a pinch of celest color of my coat made me feel that the spring is knocking the door.
And what about the coat? This is a gift that i had received many many many years ago - when i was 14 years old - by my family. And it's not even a women's collection, but a girls' one. And its label says 'made in Greece'. It's so beautifully made and the material feels so soft and fresh.. I'm wondering if this little Greek clothing company is still alive..

Cohen Brothers in New York

i'm still trying to leave behind this supernatural night and not thinking about 'damn we lost the opportunity to be Hollywood stars for once' (ntoingk!) . Ok i'm explaining.
The very famous directors Cohen brothers filmed part of their new movie on this exact street that me and my friends were staying in NY East Village. Oh damn right, i was there, watching closely the shootings of the upcoming film 'inside llewyn davis' with Carey Mulligan and Justin Timberlake, directed by Joel and Ethan Cohen! How cool was that.
