more of AXDW

Hectic past days wouldn't let me post all the shows i attended at Athens Xclusive Designers Week. Except for the 4 fav shows of Stelios Koudounaris, Ourania Kay, Celebrity Skin and THEIA, that i immediately posted and commented, here's some more of the catwalks i chose to watch and photoshoot. For different reasons each:

Ioannis Guia
Positively surprised by his last show on March with the goth styling and long silhouettes, i was definitely curious to see what's next.. After all, don't forget that he teaches at ESMODE in Paris.. Respect.
In this show, he chose a very interesting make up, which i translated as a schizophreniac statement with a rather complicated impact:

Dimitris Kouras
..cause i hadn't heard him before, and new blood has to be tasted:

Christina Skarpeli
New promising Designer and winner of the Best New Designer Award by Ford. More info and photos here.
That show was an etevation in an ancient greek sky. After all, this is Sparta! 300 credits for Christina!
My shots were pretty much focused on the styling:

Evelina Litina
Her concepts stand out for sure. Is she an athlete or something?? Or she just chose to disguise and transform sportswear into glary outfits?:

Ourania Kay

Mute.
She sped down the catwalk just like a ray of light, interspersing diamonds. And yes, i'm saying Ourania Kay is a new little diamond, who's gonna chew the success gum in the greek fashion industry. She's already got the Best Catwalk prize in her hands, and now all the rest are yet to come... So guys, check her work out, it's worth a king's ransom!
p.s. This post is crazy important to me, cause i'm -in a way- attached to this particular designer. We both lived in Paris studying fashion design, and worked in the french fashion scene. So, guess how happy and proud i feel she did it! She fills us with hope from bottom to top. And that's only the beginning..

Creative melancholy, painfully sublime reflexions, inside nostalgia, tormented passion. That's what i felt watching her collection.

..et dans nos coeurs, elle est toujours une fille et son chien.
