Little athenian corners

Raining Sunday and my shoes, my umbrella and I, went downtown, once more. This time, wearing my favorite boyfriend jeans, matched with this (oh!) this bag (ok I have to admit that I first saw it on my best friend’s shoulder, Kakia – she is a style icon and a Vogue editor!) which I was lucky enough to find it –me too- in sales.. Mum’s umbrella, new British designer’s woolen coat and fuxia-black scarf from H&M (I should award H&M scarfs! They always seem more expensive that they actually are!)

Athens you are so beautiful!
(i couldn’t resist to some more graffiti and some more unique corners for a different reason each time…)

mmm....this orange tree fresh smell!

While walking with my friend Kondia along all these lonely & kind of a sad Gazi roads, she suddenly stopped, kneeled on the pavement and said: ‘Oh how adorable are those footprints! I always like to step on them!” I have never noticed before this little cute detail! It really is like a photo shot of an animal’s moment stepping on soft, not-ready-yet concrete. It’s this moment.. Cat’s moment.. Hollywood rock stars – also- leave their prints, why not a cat? (!)

and let me introduce you rainy Kondia!

Art-hens!

Saturday morning and i can't say no to a walk in the center of Athens. I used to hate the 'tourists-parade' in the centre, with every kind of asian photographer shooting every little rock of the monuments and Monastiraki's unique detailed personality items and buildings, but yesterday i felt one of them! i couldn't resist to the beautiful sun and funny pulse of this day...
So i was found in Gazi, where i usually go at night and i never really pay attention to the unbelieavably beautiful work of arts in every corner.. Guys i went craaaazy with the graffitis...take a look...

Even the hand-made Parking sign is hot...

the contradictory Pireos Avenue...

With all these absolutely different images, you get more curious to search every corner of the city.. And imagine that some people make huge effort in order to erase many of these masterpieces... How would it feel to create such an artwork and stay anonymous?
Back to my sunny morning, Athens looked really industrial and modern at that point.. But i prefer to give my attention to the little old balkan-likish poor home roofs..

And what about the people? I couldn't stand in one place for one moment cause of the crowd...should we all open cafeterias in the centre of Athens and still there will be demand...

...and you can see everything....
tattoo-ing live...

even a laundry-live like in middle of Monastiraki.. but in reality it's the 'vitrine' of a store!!!!

on how i adooooore these traditional grand-pas and their all-kind of hats on the streets....

you can even buy a chandelier from the street...

where else you can take a ride with a little red train but with wheels in really small alleys?

My contradictory walk

and a slight Acropolis view...

Homeless people never miss..

 and our favorite Technopolis...

Working at night? Don't complain..

Millions of things make you notice them in a different - so different- way..  and that's the whole beauty.
